A few weeks ago, the CoderDojo Bray IoT group went to Killruddery House to check the network and security cameras. There were 4 kids (Megan, Tyler, Joshua and me, Marcos) and two mentors (Kevin & Tatjana). At Killruddery we first went to Anthony's office to check the power source; everything was powered by Linux. Anthony had built the source code himself. After we checked all that, we went up to the roof, it was fun! On the way up, we climbed three flights of stairs and through a dusty attic.
Going to Killruddery was a great experience!
My name is Joshua. I thought the visit to Kilruddery was fun, cool and kind of interesting. We started off looking at the pigs. They loved being scratched behind the ear. Then we went through a huge door and into this room that had a map on the wall, in fact there were maps on every wall in the house. We made our way into his office where he showed us about this computer (it was huge). Then we saw other things like these gigantic books, but my favourite thing about the tour was going on the roof. We had to go into a bathroom and there was door in the wall. But it was camouflaged. It was like something out of Harry Potter. So he opened the door and there was a ladder. We climbed it up to the attic and started crawling on wooden planks. Then we climbed through a window on to the roof. It was so cool, the trip was very fun.
