New Session starts on Saturday 14 September at 14:30hrs

We are starting our new set of CoderDojo sessions on Saturday 14 September at 14:30hrs.

To start your child’s coding session please ensure you are registered. All Volunteers are very much welcome.

SESSION DATES FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2019 to 2020 (subject to change):

  • Session 1: From 14 September 2019 to 19 October 2019
  • Session 2: From 9 November 2019 to 14 December 2019
  • Session 3: From 11 January 2020 to 15 February 2020
  • Session 4: From 29 February 2020 to 4 April 2020

Unless stated, all sessions will have a duration of 6 weeks

The ticket registration page for the next set of CoderDojo Bray sessions is now open. Get your tickets here:  https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/545355762767 There will be 3 (maybe 4) sessions running on the following  Saturdays: 25th February 4th March 11th March We may run an additional session on 25th March Dojo sessions take place in  Presentation College , start at 14:30  and are 90 minutes long.  Tickets are free  but are limited and are  released on a first come first served basis . Because demand usually exceeds the available places, the only way to ensure that your child gets a place is to Volunteer. See the  Volunteers  section of our website to learn how. Reminder: Parents / Guardians of children under 12 years of age MUST remain on the premises for the duration of the session.

Information about Coronavirus (COVID-19)

[UPDATE 12 March 2020] CoderDojo is closed for the season.  See this page for details --- Originally posted on: 29 February 2020 As you know, CoderDojo Bray takes place in Presentation College.  You may have read in the papers or in social media that some students from Presentation College Bray have been recently on a sky trip to an area in Italy which has subsequently been included in the Coronavirus (COVID-19) affected area (the whole province of Lombardy is now being outlined as a precaution as part of the protocol). We are in contact with the school Principal. The advice we have been given by the school, following recommendations from the HSE, is as follows: * There has been NO confirmed case of coronavirus in Ireland * There are NO confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the school community * There is no need to close the school * Only students who were on the trip AND are unwell should stay out of school As such and until further notice, the CoderDojo session...

IoT students visit to Killruddery House

This post has been written by the CoderDojo students A few weeks ago, the CoderDojo Bray IoT group went to  Killruddery House  to check the network and security cameras. There were 4 kids (Megan, Tyler, Joshua and me, Marcos) and two mentors (Kevin & Tatjana). At Killruddery we first went to Anthony's office to check the power source; everything was powered by Linux. Anthony had built the source code himself. After we checked all that, we went up to the roof, it was fun! On the way up, we climbed three flights of stairs and through a dusty attic.
