It is with great sadness that we report that Stephen Dixon, former CoderDojo Bray Champion, passed away on Saturday 16th September, following a short illness.
Stephen was a tireless champion and a driving force behind the Bray CoderDojo. He gave a huge amount of his time and effort over many years, as both a trustee following the Dojo's successful application for charity status, and as a mentor to the children. His knowledge and enthusiasm shone through. He developed the Dojo Sushi sheets, in his own time, which continue to be a valuable resource for the dojo.
Stephen reached out and established valuable connections in the local community, expanded the role of Dojo volunteers, and liaised with the wider Dojo and Raspberry Foundation communities. Such links and the groundwork he laid has helped the Dojo become an established community service and a huge asset to children in the area. He will be sorely missed. 😔
On behalf of the Bray Coder Dojo team, past and present.
